Even with 37 luminaires installed, power consumption remained low at only 4,625 watts.
United Petroleum's first of its kind service station in Victoria, Australia, designed to resemble the wings of a jet, is a monument of modern architecture. The massive canopy structure, with a dizzying height of nine meters, required lighting solutions that would complement the station's unique design while providing bright, even illumination at the pumps and in the parking areas.
PDL3 was chosen for its slim, compact design; making it easy to wrap each luminaire with custom designed outdoor vinyl to blend in with the wood grain and silver finish on the underside of the canopy. PML2A, with its type III light distribution pattern, 9700 lumen output and Photocell and Motion Sensor options, made it the ideal choice for lighting the parking and driveway areas of this fantastic fuel station phenomenon.
The legendary SloanLED light engine provided an average of 290 lux on the ground at each pump, and even with 37 luminaires installed, power consumption remained low at only 4,625 watts. Seven PML2A pole mount lights provided a beautiful, efficient solution to increase visibility over the entire site.
