On-target to a brighter future.

Target Corporation

What We Did

  • Partnered with Federal Heath to illuminate 259-ft (79-m) diameter rooftop Target logo, consisting of three concentric rings made entirely of solar panels
  • Worked with solar panel installer to rearrange panels/wiring around the rooftop and designed a raised block system for added product protection from heavy weather
  • Provided an efficient, sustainable LED lighting solution with the ability to stand the test of time

SloanLED’s expertise in suggesting the best product and installation method made them the perfect partner for us on this project. The collaborative effort between Federal Heath and SloanLED helped ensure that this exciting project was a success.

Task

In a continued effort towards reducing its carbon footprint, Target added a 259-ft (79-m) diameter bullseye logo made entirely of solar panels—representing 862,099 kWh in renewable energy—to the rooftop of its Inglewood, California location. The massive logo promoted the brand by day, but they still needed a strategy to make it visible at night.

Solution

1,792 ft (527 m) of LEDStripe Red: Large profile, long run, LED‑based rigid tubing system, perfect for adding lighting elegance and distinction to any building.

Results

Complemented by the new SoFi Stadium and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), Target’s new rooftop signage is a bright, red beacon of brand awareness and a testament to its efforts towards its clean energy goals.
